Art – Dragon Notans


I wanted to have the kids do a notan this year, and they wanted to make dragons, so why not combine the two?  It was a tricky process, but in the end, all the dragons were unique and awesome!  Making notans is a great way to teach symmetry, and my Wednesday class nailed it!

This was a project for my high schoolers simply because it required an X-acto knife.  That was a huge challenge for them, because none of them have ever used that as a tool for art.  The overall consensus was that it was tedious, yet interesting once it was finished.

I think they turned out really cool!
