The original idea for this can be found here.  What a fun project, and they all turned out so nicely!

First things first - draw the guitar. We also traced a couple of stars.

First things first – draw the guitar. We also traced a couple of stars on a separate piece of paper.

Next, begin the coloring process. I instructed the kids to wait until all the coloring was done before outlining in black. This little lad didn't listen - wouldn't you know, he's my son.

We wove black and white paper together, color and cut out our stars, and mounted them onto the checkerboard.  We rocked out loud!
